Arsene Wenger has refused to talk about Arsenal's bid for Luis Suarez after his squad touched down in Jakarta for the first leg of their pre-season tour of Asia.
The Gunners are due to play friendlies against an Indonesian Dream Team, a Vietnam XI and Japanese clubs Nagoya Grampus and Urawa Red Diamonds on their two-week tour.
Theo Walcott and Jack Wilshere were among the players given an enthusiastic welcome by the Indonesian locals after their plane landed on Friday morning, with the players all given necklaces made of flowers as a gift.

Arsenal are looking to strengthen their squad after eight years without winning a major trophy, with the club tabling an ambitious bid for Liverpool star Suarez, which was rejected by Liverpool earlier this month.
But when asked in Jakarta whether they will be making an improved £40million bid for Suarez, Wenger refused to discuss the chase.
He said: 'As you know the transfer period demands secrets and confidentiality, so I can't answer the question.'

Away from transfer speculation, Wenger added: 'We are very happy to be here. We've never been here before so we want to give happiness to all our fans here. I'm sure we can leave here with great memories.
'I don't know much about the Indonesian team, but I expect them to make us suffer! Because Asian players are quick, agile and mobile and we are at the start of the season.'
Fully-fit again Wilshere echoed his manager's comments about wanting to excite the Asian fans.
'I have a lot of Twitter followers from Asia. You guys wake up in the middle of night to watch our CL games so we want to put on a show for you,' Wilshere told reporters in a packed press conference.

Gareth Bale Wants Madrid Move
Tottenham winger, Gareth Bale told manager, Andre Villas-Boas his wish of wanting to leave the club and heading off to Real Madrid during a training session on Wednesday, reports Sky Sports.
Bale spent around five hours on the training ground during which time he was receiving treatment on a muscle injury.

The Gunners reportedly targeting on bidding for German International, Ilkay Gundogan, Borussia Dortmund midfielder.

Though Arsenal are equipped with excellent central midfielders like Mikel Arteta, Jack Wilshere and Tomas Rosicky, Ilkay Gundogan is a player with a certain foreign element that could help bring in more balance to the Emirates Stadium side.
Gundogan, who is a regular in Joachim Low’s German national team set-up, has made 81 appearances in two seasons at Borussia Dortmund.
