The Gunners reportedly targeting on bidding for German International, Ilkay Gundogan, Borussia Dortmund midfielder.
Arsenal has decided to offer the 22-year old Gundogan, a proposal to join their club, as the midfielder was a prominent part of Borussia Dortmund’s inclusion in the Champions League Finals last term.
Gundogan is known to be a tough tackler but is highly noted for his passing skills that has aroused the keen interest of Arsenal’s manager, Arsene Wenger who thinks it would be a wise move to make an offer to the German International as he believes he can supply a new dimension to the Gunners by doing so.
Reports say that this midfielder’s rating amounts to around ₤25m, which seems equitable given that Gundogan is a player with impressive skills and potentials.
Out of all the recent sucesses for Borussia Dortmund, manager, Jürgen Klopp seems to be having a difficult time keeping his top players in hand. Though The BVB has won two of the last three Bundesliga titles under Klopp’s management, the club has had to sell players like Nuri Sahin, Shinji Kagawa and Mario Gotze. And with these sales in mind, one cannot override the fact that Gundogan’s move away from the club is possible.
Though Arsenal are equipped with excellent central midfielders like Mikel Arteta, Jack Wilshere and Tomas Rosicky, Ilkay Gundogan is a player with a certain foreign element that could help bring in more balance to the Emirates Stadium side.
Gundogan, who is a regular in Joachim Low’s German national team set-up, has made 81 appearances in two seasons at Borussia Dortmund.
